The train is scheduled in such a way that it travels through the night so that guests get to relax in 5-star comfort and arrive fresh the next morning at the next halt, to explore the destination during the day. Breakfast and dinner will be served on board while lunch will be provided at the destination. Only on the final day will lunch be served on the train adn dinner at the Taj Residency Nasik

Report by 3.30 p.m.(1530 hrs) at Platform No 8/9 at CST Railway Station,Fort Area Mumbai(formerly called VT Railway Station) to board Deccan Odyssey Train tour.Depart by 1630 hrs.High tea & dinner on board.
Day 2: Ganpatipule,Ratnagiri
After Breakfast on board,visit Ratnagiri town & freedom fighter memorial.Drive to Ganpatiphule beach on Arabian sea & time free.Optional visit to Lord Ganesha temple -the elephant God.After outdoor lunch on beach;enjoy backwater cruise from Jaigadh Fort jetty in Large Boat. Dinner on board.
Day 3: Sindhudurg, Tarkarli,Sawantwadi
After Breakfast on board,visit Sindhudurg Sea Fort built in late 17th century by warrior king Shivaji.Later drive to Tarkarli beach for rest & outdoor Lunch.Afternoon enjoy backwater cruise in small boats.Evening visit Sawantwadi town Shilpgram handicraft bazaar & enjoy local cultural program .Dinner on board.
Day 4: Goa
Breakfast on board.Proceed for tour of Old Goa World Heritage Site of Portugese Churches,built in late 16th century; visit to Fontanhas-the Latin quarters at Panjim town & time free for shopping.Afternoon lunch & time free at South Goa luxury beach resort.Dinner on board.
Day 5: Kolhapur & Pune
Breakfast on board.Morning visit Kolhapur town- 19th century Palace Museum, Bhavani Mandap Mahalaxmi Temple & Shalini Palace.Enjoy cultural Programmes & Visit Handicraft Stalls.Lunch on board. Late evening visit Kelkar cultural museum at Pune.Dinner on board.
Day 6: Aurangabad & Ellora Caves
Breakfast on board.Morning visit impressive Aurangabad Fort & excursion to World Heritage site of 8th century Ellora cave murals. Lunch in Aurangabad Hotel.Afternoon visit Bibi Ka Makbara & time free for shopping.Dinner on board.
Day 07 : Ajanta Caves, Nasik
Breakfast on board.Excursion to World Heritage Site of Ajanta cave frescoes dating back to 2nd century B.C. Lunch on board.Evening visit Nasik hindu temple town on Holy river Godavari. Dinner on board.
Day 08 : Mumbai Return
Deccan Odyssey Train Tour returns to CST (VT) Railway Station by 0745 hrs & you have option to leave after early breakfast. |
